Leopolis Jazz Fest 2020

Leopolis Jazz Fest (Alfa Jazz Fest till 2017) – international open-air jazz festival, which is annually held in June in Lviv (Ukraine). The first festival was successfully held in 2011. Concerts featuring over a hundred world class musicians, performing on three stages in the city’s downtown area, over 100,000 spectators and around 200 accredited press reporters – this is story of the Leopolis Jazz Fest. The Guardian included festival in the list of the best European festivals.

The initiator of the festival was Mikhail Fridman, a businessman, co-founder of LetterOne, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alfa Group Consortium. He was born in Lviv.

The title sponsor of the festival until 2018 was Alfa Bank Ukraine, and therefore the festival was called Alfa Jazz Fest. In 2017, it was decided to rename the festival for Leopolis Jazz Fest to indicate its venue (Leopolis is one of the ancient names of Lviv).

In addition to concerts of jazz musicians from around the world, jam sessions, master-classes and autograph sessions of world jazz stars take place during the festival as well.

Maybe you’re looking to stay on top of emerging trends in your industry, or get a read on what your customers are excited about. Perhaps you’re actively networking for customers, vendors or even a new job. Or you might simply be looking to mingle with your peers in more informal surroundings.

Regardless of your intent, there’s never a bad reason to maintain a solid network of professionals and experts in your vertical or other fields.

We also know it’s hard to keep track of all the great technology conferences you might want to attend in any given month, quarter or year.

That’s why we developed this sortable list, which we’ll update regularly to include the most relevant tech events. While we’ve naturally focused on shows in the U.S., we’ll pay attention to some of the more notable international events as well.

If you can’t make it, or if you’ve already blown through your travel budget, many of these conferences offer virtual and live-streaming options as well.

Boutique festival in Albania

Could Albania be the next hot festival destination? The folks behind Kala clearly think so. The second edition of this boutique festival trumpets its intimacy and exclusivity – only 2,000 people can attend (but don’t worry, this isn’t some Fyre Festival sitch). Dance on an array of private beaches, explore the Albanian Riviera or do yoga on the beach. Hotel accommodation is included, with prices dependent on how luxe you want to go.

Line-up includes Inner City (live), Jordan Rakei, Hercules & Love Affair, Joe Armon-Jones & Maxwell Owin, Hunee, Derrick May, Theo Parrish.

Primavera Sound 2019 Guide

Despite being a relatively young festival, the Primavera Sound Barcelona has carved out, with just right, a leading role in the Olympus of international festivals. The merit can be attributed to the character and physiognomy of the Festival; a markedly urban event, in which integration is the common denominator.

Integration as a maximum meeting point between artists and spectators; between people also of different generations. And here, then, that art meets music. And, music becomes union and sharing. Primavera Sound Barcelona is this … and much more.

The event was born in 2001, with the intent to celebrate the end of spring in the best possible way. Until 2005, the Festival took place in the Poble Espanyol location. The response to the terms of turnout, during the first editions, was such as to force the organizers to choose a different venue. From that moment, the Festival takes place at Parque del Fórum of Barcelona. A place worthy of an international event, facing the sea.

Great international artists have performed during the previous 17 editions; Pixies, Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, The National, Nine Inch Nails, Neil Young, Sonic Youth, Portishead, Pet Shop Boys, Echo & The Bunnymen, Lou Reed, My Bloody Valentine, El-P, Pulp, Patti Smith , James Blake, Cat Power, Public Enemy and many others.

The Carnival Of Venice

If you are looking for festivals in Europe featuring elaborate masks, the Carnival of Venice is the place to be. Although the festival has roots that are a millennium old, the modern version only began in 1979 as an effort to revive the culture of this great city. Today, almost 3 million people attend this 20-days long biggest festivals in Europe in March of endless parties and events across the city. There is a water parade, competitions inspired from old Venetian traditions, a grand ball, and a popularity contest for best mask design.

Carnival of Venice 2020 dates: 16 February – 5 March

How to build a PC

Typically, inventory types can be grouped into four categories: (1) raw materials, (2) works-in-process, (3) finished goods, and (4) maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) goods.

  1. Raw materials are any items used to manufacture components or finished products. These can be items produced directly by your business or purchased from a supplier. For example, a candle-making business could purchase raw materials such as wax, wicks, and decorative ribbons.
  2. Works-in-progress inventory refers to unfinished items moving through production but not yet ready for sale. In the case of a candle-making business, work-in-progress inventory might be candles that are drying and unpackaged.
  3. Finished goods are products that have completed the production process and are ready to be sold: the candles themselves.
  4. Maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) goods are items used to support and facilitate the production of finished goods. These items are usually consumed as a result of the production process but aren’t a direct part of the finished product. For instance, disposable molds used to manufacture candles would be considered MRO inventory.

As you’ll see below, there are other terms such as “decoupling inventory” and “pipeline inventory” used to describe types of stock based on its theoretical purpose and use. Nonetheless, physical inventory almost always falls into one of the four categories above.
